Build Your Butterfly Garden Decoration Stacking Guide
The Fairy Update introduced decoration stacking and furniture placement, allowing items to overlap and layer vertically. This opens creative possibilities that were impossible before the update.
Basic Stacking Mechanics
Decorations can now overlap each other, creating composite visual effects. Experiment with placing smaller items on larger base decorations.
Furniture pieces can be placed directly on top of decorations, adding a third vertical layer to your designs.
Advanced Techniques
Create themed areas by stacking related decorations: a Japanese garden corner using items from the Japanese Egg theme, or a fairy grove on the Fairy Plot.
Use landmarks like Celestria as anchor pieces and build stacked compositions around them.
Decoration Limit Management
Stacking lets you create denser designs without hitting the decoration limit as quickly. The +50 limit increase from the Fairy Update provides additional headroom.
