Build Your Butterfly Garden Performance Mode Guide
Ocean Update Part 2 added a Performance Mode toggle in Settings so players can raise FPS on phones, tablets, and older PCs. Dense decoration stacking, weather effects, and Treasure Hunt routes can strain weaker devices — this guide shows when to enable the mode and what to expect.
How to Enable Performance Mode
Open Build Your Butterfly Garden, click the gear icon in the top-right (same menu used for code redemption), and look for the Performance Mode toggle.
Turn it on, close settings, and move around a decorated plot or Fairy Plot showcase. You should notice smoother camera movement and fewer frame drops during weather or hatch animations.
- Open Settings (gear, top-right)
- Toggle Performance Mode on
- Test FPS while walking through stacked decorations
- Turn it off later if you prefer maximum visual fidelity
Who Should Use It
Mobile players, low-end laptops, and anyone building heavy stacked gardens benefit most. Leaderboard showcase visits with many decorations are another common stutter point.
High-end PCs can leave it off for the richest lighting and particle effects during Ocean and Fairy showcases.
Tradeoffs and Related Settings
Performance Mode may reduce some visual effects for speed. Pair it with Roblox graphics quality sliders if you still need more FPS.
