Likes are the social currency of Build Your Butterfly Garden. Visiting players can Like your garden, pushing you up the in-game leaderboard and showcasing your butterfly collection to the community. This guide explains how Likes work, how to design a garden that earns them, and how the Golden Cherry Tree group reward fits into your showcase strategy.
How Likes Work
When another player visits your garden, they can leave a Like if they enjoy the design. Likes accumulate over time and contribute to leaderboard ranking visible from the main game menu.
Likes do not generate Nectar directly. They are a prestige and community metric — valuable for motivation, inspiration, and showing off rare butterflies and event decorations.
You can also visit other players' gardens and leave Likes. Reciprocal visits build community connections and give you layout ideas for your own plot.
Leaderboard Strategy
Top leaderboard gardens combine three elements: visible rare butterfly displays, creative decoration layouts, and landmark pieces that catch the eye immediately at the entrance.
Organize your rarest specimens near the spawn path so visitors see them within seconds. Hide functional Flowerbed grids behind decorative walls or hedges so the showcase zone feels intentional.
Event exclusives help you stand out — Celestria from Fairy Update Part II, ocean pieces from Ocean Update Part 2, and trophy decorations from codes all signal dedication.

Decoration Showcase Tips
